Learn how to enable your smart phone to send out email using your Airstream
Communications email server with Authenticated SMTP.

Adding an account.
- From the home screen go to Setup
by pushing the nav button and then scrolling down. - Select Email
Accounts.
- Select Internet Mail Account.
- Select Other for the
Account type.
- Type in your Airstream Communications email address and
select Continue.
- The Blackberry software will fully configure all
settings needed.

Adding an account.
- Tap Mail

Select Other
- Enter your account information and tap Save.
- Incoming IMAP Server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
- Port: 143
- Username: your email account's username
- Password: your email account's password
- SMTP Server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
- Port: 587
- Security Type: None
- (Check) Require sign-in
- Username: your email account's username
- Password: your email account's password
- Mail configures most email accounts automatically. Otherwise, you
will be prompted for any additional settings.
Once your account
information is saved - you can start sending and receiving email.
Edit an account.
- Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Under Accounts, tap the
account from which you're trying to send mail.
- Under Outgoing Mail Server, tap SMTP. If you don’t see Outgoing Mail
server, you may need to tap account info first.
- Tap your SMTP server. Select On on the On/Off slider.
- Note: The SMTP Server is mail.airstreamcomm.net on Port 587.
Security Type is none. And select "Require Sign-in".
- Return to the SMTP screen. If additional items are listed under Other
SMTP Servers, turn those on as well.

Adding an account.
There are several different ways to access the Mail application. Open
that as you normally would or select "Setup Email" from the Control
Panel/Settings screen via the Start Menu.
Enter the following information as requested during the setup:
- Email Address: your email address
- Password: your email account's password.
- Incoming IMAP Server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
- Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
- Server Type: IMAP
When you are finished select the "Done" option.
Editing an account.
- Open your mail application
- Press "Menu" then "Tools" then "Options"
- Select "Account Settings"
- Select "Edit Account Setup"
- Press Next, then Next again, then Next again and Next one more time. You
should now be on the "Outgoing (SMTP) mail server" settings screen.
- Make sure the settings are
- Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
- (Check) Outgoing server requires authentication
- (Check) Use the same name and password for sending e-mail

Adding an account.
- From Start, flick left to the Applications list, press Settings and then
press Email & accounts.
- Press Add an account > Other account.
- Press the Email address box and then type your email address.
- Press the Password box and then type your password.
- Press Sign in.
- Once the auto-check has been completed, press Advanced and verify the
following settings:
- Account name: This is the name of this account, such as "home", to
distinguish it from others.
- Your name: The name you'd like to appear on your messages.
- Incoming email server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
- Account type: IMAP
- User name: Your username for this account (the portion of your email address
before the @).
- Password: Your password for this account.
Outgoing (SMTP) email server: mail.airstreamcomm.net
- (Check) Outgoing server requires authentication
- (Check) Use the same user name and password for sending email
Editing an account.
- From Start, flick left to the Applications list, press Settings and then
press Email & accounts.
- Tap and Hold the account you'd like to Edit.
- Verify the settings are as described above.
